Learning to Lift and Strength School
Want to get stronger?
Strength is key for health, fitness, and athletic success. At Jayhawk Performance we pride ourselves on developing strength through safe lifting form, age-appropriate exercises, quality instruction, and fun.
Our Strength School is designed for elementary and middle school aged children. Children do not have to be athletes to participate in Strength School. Throughout the program we introduce fundamental exercises such as squats, bench press, and deadlifts while also allowing the group to explore more challenging exercises such as Olympic weightlifting variations. All participants will receive initial training and performance evaluations related to strength and power to identify strengths and to monitor progress.
Our Strength School will be led by Dr. Quincy Johnson who is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
